This unit develops an understanding of the function, operation and routine maintenance requirements associated with process control valves. It is recommended that An Introduction to Instrument and Control: Process Measurement Systems and Equipment is completed before undertaking this Unit and that Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Process Control Valves is completed in conjunction with this Unit.
