This course is intended for participants with either very little or no prior experience of a processing workshop or processing plant environment. It is also suitable for individuals wishing to progress to a career as a Process Technician and also for individuals who would like an overview of processing operations.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Briefly explain how oil and gas is formed
- Describe the basic characteristics of oil & gas reservoirs and hydrocarbon properties
- Outline main techniques throughout the oil and gas value chain: from exploration, production, refining, storage and transfer
- Explain how the oil and gas industry operates in terms of infrastructures, organizations, job roles and economic factors
Teaching methods :
- The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and skills training exercises
- Workshop practice content: not required for this course.
- Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
